That's awesome! I would honestly just watch a quick "How to Crochet" video on youtube, that's always a great refresher for me if I forgot how to do something in crochet.
Again, these patterns are reallt simple so I think that it would honestly work for anyone who can do these things:
-Single crochet
-Slip stich
-Magic ring (or an alternative)
-Increase
-Chain
These are the first things that I learned in crochet. Also, if it's only 1 or 2 of these things that you don't know how to do, then the internet can defintely tell you! I suggest that a lot in crochet, because that is 100% how I learned, no classes.
As a side note, if you have forgoten how to read patterns (to be fair it is pretty complicated) there are all kinds of cheat sheets online that you can print or just have online (I use one because I don't want to acidentaly read the wrong stich). I hope that this was in some way helpful!
