For anyone based in NYC or in the metro area, there’s an animal shelter that does really good work called Sean Casey Animal Rescue. They adopt over 2000 animals a year, and take in animals that other places turn away (including from across the country).
They regularly have hammies — that’s where I got my Aslan! — and right now they have a whole litter of baby Syrians (black and teddy bear) and their momma, as well as a fancy hamster.
Not sure if this is the proper protocol for posting in the Adoption or Rescues section, but just putting the word out there.
