What's your favorite cage theme? I'm just testing the poll feature

We like a combination of colors in a natural element cage

unpoplar opinion: i kind of feel like ever since the hamster community had this 100% all natural thing...no one is really creative

many people argue that unnaturalistic cages suck and will make your hamster unhappy but take erins animals for example, her cages arent naturalistic but are still enriching.

I understand what you mean by people not really having themes to their enclosures any more.
However, it is still possible to have a themed naturalistic cage- for example a woodland or fairy-type theme.
It is also very easy to customise hides etc. into whatever theme you like- Animal Crossings, Harry Potter, favourite cities...
Naturalistic and themed cages don't have to be mutually exclusive- they can work really well together.
However, I do believe that it is important to give your hamster quite a lot of naturalistic enrichment as it best caters to their wild instincts.
SomethingAnimal (Erin's Animals' new channel name) still uses dorms of naturalistic enrichment, for example multi-chamber hides, scatter feeding etc.

I pretty much agree.
I do believe that hamster cages can be enriching without being very naturalistic, but some naturalistic things really make the enclosure better.
Scatterfeeding, sprays, and herbs are natural.
Cork logs make new textures for the hamster to walk on, and secondary beddings too.
Grapevine wood is great for hamsters to climb on, and are good when you have some empty space in the enclosure, but not alot.
I'm not a big fan of plastic in enclosures. Just because it's not breathable, and slippery for the hamster to climb on. They're bad if they chew, and really not natural for them. That doesn't mean i judge everyone who uses plastic
I do think that when you have a pet, making it able to express as many natural behaviors as possible is important. I just feel like in a natural enclosure, that is more possible.
That does not mean a hamster in a non natural setup is unhappy !

Mine are generally seasonal so Halloween and Christmas are my big ones but it’s a great way so you can change up some things in an enclosure without stressing a hamster that might not like full enclosure change ups.

I prefer natural themes, that's just my taste. Themes are really more for the people than the animals but that's ok. That's part of having an animal. It's like buying a dog a cute sweater, as long as it's comfortable and the dog isn't bothered by it, there's nothing wrong with having it. I think it makes having an animal that isn't super cuddly more fun, as long as you enjoy making the themes. =)

I'm not a very creative person so that's probably why I prefer natural themes. Function over form so to speak lol

Wow these look amazing! I love that you can have both naturalistic cages and add some color and fun to it! I know this is an odd request but: can you post these in the cage set up topic in cages and supplies (I believe the topic is called "Proud of your hamsters cage")? I think theese are great inspiration! You don't have to if you don't want to , I thought it would be worth asking though.

just to clear things up what i meant by "unnaturalistic cages" did not mean that i will be using plastic...im also not a big fan of plastic too.. non naturalistic cages should try to implement as much natural items as they can

maybe a colourful enclosure where there is a little rainbow on a multichamber hide or maybe a colourful bendy bridge and (edible) flowers scattered arounds ,scatter fed food, a diy coloured hideout and

Maybe a beach/oceaned themed cage (which is perfect for a robo) with a large sand area, a ceramic crab hideout, hamster safe wood, a coconut hideout, a little coco soil area with a cardboard painted coconut hide
