Update..

I am really worried about Snowey guys...he is barely walking and is hardly getting any water in..

I got a food supplement that the vet prescribled..but I don't even know if he got much of it because he is just refusing everything..and it's very difficult to handle him so much...

He's also losing a lot of weight He was 107 grams on Sunday..101 grams on Monday..and he was 96 grams today TvT

Be honest with me guys..do you think he is beyond help? He never moves..and when he does..he shakes and squeakes, and can hardly even crawl...

This is all just too soon..Taco..and now this ..

your doing everything you can, im sso sorry that this is so stressful! hopefully he will feel better soon, try giving him all sorts of foods that others have listed, water, electrolites, maybe even try some babyfood?

Thank you so much Daisy..How many times a day should I try to feed him, aside from the water..? Should I try to feed him in the night too?

I would focus on trying to get fluid and electrolytes into him rather than necessarily food right now, because his digestive system might not be working very well. If he's willing to eat, that's fine, but otherwise I wouldn't push it.

Whether you should try to give him fluids in the night depends on how much he has taken the day before. Try to pinch the skin on the back of his neck and then let it go. If it "tents" (doesn't bounce back very quickly), he's dehydrated and needs more frequent fluids. But I wouldn't give him more than about 0.5ml at a time.

I got up at 1 am last night to give water and food to Snowey...but found that he had passed in his sleep... TvT

I am so devastated..I actually thought he was starting to feel better when we gave him his meds and water... ..

I'm so sorry for your loss. Snowey was so lucky to have you as his owner, even if for a short time, because you did everything you could to make him comfortable and not everyone would have done that.

I think he had something badly wrong before you bought him and Petco shouldn't have sold him. However maybe you found each other for a reason.

I know you must be devastated to lose him and I'll be thinking of you.

I was going to go to petco so they would refund the money on Snowey, and tell them how horrible my experience was ...and bring him back to bury him..but I don't know if I even have the strength and courage to do that now...

Me and my mom are about to go get some bleach to sanitize everything...I was wondering how long my wooden platform, and coconut, and the couple of wooden toys should be in the oven, and on what heat?

How strong should the bleach solution be too for the wheel, pvc pipes, hideouts, and the tank...? I want to get everything on a clean note for the next hammy...

He looked so sweet after he had passed, his eyes closed..like he'd just fallen asleep...I am having tears while writing this.. TvT

Okay...so I did talk to the manager about what a poor experience I had...and pretty much everything..and gave him the names of the people that sold Snowey to me...and he said he would talk to them..
