broccoli sprouts/microgreens?
Are broccoli sprouts/microgreens okay to feed hammies as an occasional treat? From what I know, sprouts are when the vegetable plant first starts growing, and is harvested. Since it is the broccoli plant, is it okay? (I like putting them ontop of my avocado toast I highly reccomend
)

Re: broccoli sprouts/microgreens?
Sprouts can be different from the vegetables they grow into. Remember that sometimes they have coating on them that we spray to help them grow them and also, plants put coatings around their seeds to protect them from animals.
We have this disclaimer on the safe foods list, so I tend to avoid sprouts in general. https://www.hamsterclubhouse.com/forum/ ... c.php?t=22
† Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and brussels sprouts cause gas and have been reported to cause serious bloating in other animals. Feed in careful moderation, if you feed them at all.
