Re: Hamster food question
Neither of these foods should be fed. Hamsters are omnivores and need a wide variety in their diet including many different types of seeds, legumes, and even animal proteins.
Unfortunately there are not many commercial hamster foods that meet the requirements, but there are a few.
I personally buy my hamster food off of Etsy, though this can be pricey.
There are many great resources to help you find a good food on this forum! If you need any more help don’t hesitate to ask! Good luck!

I have a post that will be helpful for you to know what to look for in a seed mix:
https://hamsterclubhouse.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=255
Also, there's another post on basic hamster nutrition here:

Let us know if you have any questions! I don't believe those two would be considered a complete diet. Hamsters need seeds with their diet and for their teeth.

How do I know the guaranteed analysis of this mix by fatpouches? I am trying to formulate one that's healthy

Re: Hamster food question
You could try to email them. But just curious they have hamster specific mixes, why are you thinking of using their gerbil mix?Swordiebrom wrote: Wed Aug 28, 2024 4:57 pm https://fatpouches.com/products/fatpouc ... 3699244256

Fatpouches has excellent foods and have been around for many years, I would trust any of their mixes.
