So this is where I'll post some of my DIY-ing for either my hamsters or mice! I would love to hear criticism from you so I can improve.

1. Hamster Rock and Moss Platform

Supplies Needed:
1. Glue (Hotglue, nontoxic glue)
2. Popsicle sticks (size depending on height of barrier)
4. Sturdy cardboard
5. Wooden dowel rods
6. Rocks
7. Safe moss

Steps:

1. Cut cardboardto desired shape.
2. Cut and glue popsicle sticks to the cardboard to create a barrier.
3. Glue the wooden dowel rods to the cardboard using extra cardboard to create stability. You can also use wooden cubes and drill a hole, so you have more stability from the cardboard to rod.
4. Glue moss onto the cardboard and popsicle sticks. Create a path/area for the rocks.
5. Glue the rocks
6. You are done!

Notes:
1. Always make sure to glue/block any holes between popsiclesticks
2. Make sure your cardboard can hold the weight of teh rocks
3. Sometimes the rocks dont stick to hot glue, so having tacky glue/elmers is helpful to have
4. Be safe when using rocks or hot glue. Wash rocks and get help with the glue gun if needed

Hamster Castle!!!

All in centimeters**

First, plug in your hot glue gun or take out your glue
Second, draw the design on cardboard (Multiply by 1.5 for larger syrians)
Third cut out the shapes using scissors for the main parts and a exacto knife for the waves/finer details
Fourth, paint your shapes (or just white/base coat, and add details later)
Fifth and final, glue your pieces together to create a castle!

There is 1 back piece("L" without holes), 1 front piece ("L" with holes), a right side piece (tall and skinny), a left bottom piece (almost square with hole), a floor (23×12; no waves), another square ish piece with a hole (for the top side) and then the roof (12x11.5)
