Isopods?
I want to get into breeding isopods, it only if they can be eaten by hamsters. So can they?
Re: Isopods?
They can eat them, but whether they will is another question haha. None of my hamsters like them, and neither do my insectivores lol

Re: Isopods?
Eclipse wants to live the life of a carnivore, so hopefully she’ll enjoy them. I’ll get a few first to see. I’m interested in genetics, but don’t have the resources (or want) to breed anything else, and they have some cool mutations.

Re: Isopods?
Parsnip never ate isopods when they were living with her I had to regularly remove some because they started over populating. Tbf i wouldn’t bother getting them as a food source they aren’t particularly nutritious anyway they are mostly exoskeleton they are super cool low maintenance pets though.

Re: Isopods?
I’ve kept isopods with my hamster too, mainly for cleanup and because they're fun to watch. If you're thinking about adding some, Cubaris isopods are a cool choice—they stay small and look really unique. I got mine from https://postpods.co.uk/collections/cubaris-isopods and they arrived healthy. Just make sure there's enough leaf litter and moisture in one part of the enclosure so everyone’s comfy.
