I bought a Wyze v4 and I’m considering returning it. I haven’t fully used it yet but I’m wondering if there are cons of having a camera.
For example, does anyone here feel like they are compelled to skim through the footage every night? I already am a little OCD so I worry it will make it worse
And, I am feeling like this might invade my hamster‘s privacy (unless I only use it to make sure he’s ok every now and then??)
thank you!!

Re: Any downsides of using a camera?
I don't think it would cause any problems; it might actually be fun to see what they do while we sleep! As for feeling a bit overconcerned about how they are at night and having to watch it everynight, all I can say is remember hamsters are solitary animals. They don't live in packs, and surely don't need humans and naturally know what they are doing. Hope this helps!NuggetHam wrote: Wed Dec 31, 2025 12:19 pm I bought a Wyze v4 and I’m considering returning it. I haven’t fully used it yet but I’m wondering if there are cons of having a camera.
