I was thinking that since we already have hamster sand, that we could apply glue to the hamster wheel track to apply the sand layer to help keep their nails trimmed instead of buying another product like cork to line the hamster wheel.
Would this work and be safe to do?

Re: Sand Lining Hamster Wheel
I feel like the glue may come off over time, and it may be harder to clean the wheel if your hamster likes to pee in it. You may be able to find a sheet of cork paper in a craft or hardware store that may be more affordable than buying a new wheel.Pumpkin wrote: Fri Nov 21, 2025 11:42 am I was thinking that since we already have hamster sand, that we could apply glue to the hamster wheel track to apply the sand layer to help keep their nails trimmed instead of buying another product like cork to line the hamster wheel.
