Food mix: Vitakraft Sunseed Vita Prima: Hamster & Gerbil Food (good quality & will eat)

I bought Vitakraft Sunseed Vita Prima (Complete Nutrition): Hamster & Gerbil Food from Petland.

Note that it doesn't have Vitakraft in the name, but it comes up on Vitakraft's website.

I feel it's their best mix of the two of theirs* that I've seen. It's also one of the top dry food mixes from the stores that I feed my Syrians and dwarfs. It seems to have a lot of colour and it doesn't have a lot of junk (like how some mixes have a lot of sunflower seeds). It also has those large blocks.

On the ingredients list, it says "Contains a source of live (viable) naturally occurring microorganisms." So I don't know if that means if we freeze it, that will kill those (presumably good/healthy) microorganisms? I normally freeze any new mixes for a day.


There's also Vitakraft® Vita Smart Complete Nutrition Natural Forage Blend Hamster Food. I've bought both kinds before. They look very similar, although Vita Prima looks like it has the large blocks whereas Vita Smart doesn't.
