Enclosure Decorations
Enclosure Decorations
I want to make a themed enclosure for a hamster I am adopting soon. So while I have the basic things like wooden hideouts/bridges, cork logs, grapevine wood, wheel, sprays, etc., what should I look out for when getting "extra decor"(things that aren't marketed specifically for hamsters)? So far, I've been looking through items that have 1) nonporous surface 2) at least light enough on sit on a wooden platform. I'm not sure if there's more I should be cautious about, such as materials or source.

Re: Enclosure Decorations
They're having a bit of a break, but have a look at some of the beautiful pottery made by Kleiner Robos Hamsterwerkstat.

Spray holders etc. are very cute, but are also multi-fuctional
Do you have a specific theme you'd be going for?
Maybe you could get themed boxes for extra substrates to help use the space more efficiently?
