How to be more eco-friendly when looking after your hamster

Post by Spud »

I was recently procrastinating and came across this article: https://eldanarshamsterworld.wordpress. ... -ecologie/

It's quite long, but gives some amazing tips on how to be as sustainable as possible when caring for you hamster. Most of these tips are also much better for your wallet in the long run too...

Her blog is amazing, and I'd highly reccommend checking out some of her other articles :)

Have a nice day :D

i dont know german so i translated the page, they make some good points some of things are easier said than done when it comes to where abouts in the world you are, postage and airmiles can be pretty high for somethings that are more eco friendly.

as for roses and other flowers grow them yourself and then dry thing in the oven

I only skimmed it because I'm in the middle of doing taxes, and it is quite long. I marked it for later. I did spot some good suggestions.

Trin also makes a good point that shipping long distance can negate the ecofriendliness of a product. Cages and accessories, though, are generally manufactured abroad.

It's more ecofriendly and cheaper in the long run to buy cages and wheels that are the right size and work well, than having to upgrade several times. That's easier said than done, but it helps to research and listen to the experiences of others. A good cage and wheel will outlive multiple hamsters.

Sharing healthy snacks with your hamster reduces packaging and shipping (since you aren't ordering separate snacks for them). It also encourages you to eat better ("oh man, better eat up that broccoli I bought for Hammie before it goes bad"). I don't buy that many hamster-specific snacks.

That sounds like a great find! It’s awesome that the article not only focuses on sustainability but also offers cost-effective tips for hamster care. It’s always refreshing to see people combine eco-conscious practices with practical casinos that accept boku https://paybymobilecasino.net/payment/boku-casinos/ advice that actually helps in the long run. I’ll definitely check out the blog – it sounds like there’s a lot to learn from it. Thanks for sharing! Sustainable pet care is such a smart way to improve both your hamster’s environment and your wallet.
