Re: Rest In Peace Houdini ❤️

Houdini will be missed :( I hope you are doing ok, I remember when my first hammy passed. It was very painful. I would recommend going to the vet and getting him cremated, as well as getting some paw prints of him. I even got a custom blanket of him (only like $15-30). I'm sure he was the most amaz...

Rest In Peace Houdini ❤️

Today on Sunday April 27th my very first Male and Syrian Hamster Houdini passed away. He was born December 27th according to the lady we got him from and we got him March 7th 2023. I don't even know what to say honestly except I could probably go on and on but he was such a good hamster. He never bi...

Re: Moving the Niteangel

Any advice on getting Houdini in his travel carrier? We are moving Thursday July 18th and will either move him tomorrow Wednesday July 17th or on Thursday but he is not tamed and is scared of us a bit still so I have never been able to get him in his carrier except for when we first picked him up w...

Re: Moving the Niteangel

If you are going to move it with the bedding inside, I would at least remove anything that might fall over when moving, or really heavy things like the sand bath. If you can get a piece of plywood or something under it, you may be able to move together, like Spud said. Thank you! Yes I would defini...

Re: Moving the Niteangel

I've moved my XXL Rodipet Nagarium (practically the same enclosure) whilst full before. It takes two people, but it can be done. Mine was resting on a wooden board though, which made it much easier to maneuver, as I didn't have to worry about the cage buckling/breaking. So much easier than taking i...

Moving the Niteangel

Hi we have had the 776 square inch Medium Niteangel Cage in the same spot for like 2 years or something. I don't remember exactly but does anyone have any advice on how to move it? My mom and her boyfriend Larry think that if we just take everything out including bedding and supplies that it can be ...

Re: Houdini has fur missing.

HI thank you for responding. That is what I was afraid of. My mom did say he has been drinking a lot and I agree. Unfortunately we can't weigh him or anything because he just runs away. As for protein I don't measure how much food but he just kind of eats what he wants or pouches it. He was eating ...

Re: Houdini has fur missing.

Hi I am posting this with my other post since that's what it says. I have a video below and a screenshot of a video of Houdini paused that shows his fur missing. We have googled it and don't think it's mites or anything but then Google said Syrian hamsters shed in the spring and fall. Which it is s...
